The publication is dedicated to teachers, educators, psychologists and students who deals with the problem of communication between youngsters and adults. This textbook describes course prepared within the framework of Grundtvig programme and it consists of three chapters:

Model of family democracy i.e. the concept of upbringing underlying the course – authors presenting typical assumptions which refer to the image of a child, the aims of upbringing, various means of influencing a child and the consequences they lead to.

Communication with children – the characteristics of an open conversation and a conversation whereby one makes one’s problem known are presented, as well as the way these characteristics can be used while solving family conflicts using the methods without defeat.

Workshop methodology – which is recommended for the running of this course.
